Levi's drop some great Engineered denim jeans this June along with these great figures for POS, unfortunately not for sale more's the pity..Wilfrid Wood has been brought into design these figures to denote a different style of each of the denims on offer, the loose, skinny and regular fits of the jeans themselves..check back for more info as we get it.
How can you patch your jeans? Simple..Just follow the steps and your jeans will be ready for you to wear. Good luck trying..
Step 1
Make repairs to denim before the rip, tear or hole becomes too large or the edges become too frayed. Patches can be applied as reinforcement to high-stress areas before worn spots turn into holes.
Step2
Cut any loose threads from the edges of the rip, tear or hole.
Step3
Use the zigzag setting on your sewing machine
to make a satin stitch along the length of a very clean cut or tear. This option is a good one if appearance is not important. See "How to Sew a Satin Stitch," under Related eHows, for instructions.
Step4
Position an iron-on denim patch on the underside of the fabric. The patch should be large enough to completely cover the damaged area. Press the patch with an iron to fuse it to the fabric.
Step5
Look for products that let you fuse your own fabric patch to the damaged area. With these products, a denim patch is cut from similar fabric. The patch is then fused to the fabric via a liquid or powdered substance and an iron.
Step6
Use liquid and powdered substances for a stronger bond than that provided by an iron-on patch.
Step7
Use decorative patches to cover very large holes. Hand- or machine sew them into place on the right side of the garment.
The following steps may give you some ideas on how you can look great during pregnancy..
Step1
Stock up on a few oversized T-shirts and blouses. Look for silhouettes that taper out from the armpit and chest, giving your belly room to move.
Step2
Build multiple outfits around a unitard. This great basic piece allows your belly to rest unencumbered and is versatile enough to pair with a blouse, T-shirt, sweater or even a babydoll dress.

Buy a pair of casual maternity pants. Look for khakis, jeans and leggings engineered with generous front panels and wide elastic bands.

Opt for simple T-shirt dresses cut in an A-line for spring and summer. Remember that as your belly grows, dresses and skirts will hike up in front.

Go for knit leggings and tunic sweaters in the winter. Ribbed knits in particular will stretch as you stretch, keeping you warm and comfortable.

Levi's contemporary Engineered jeans have been updated (or Re:Engineered) for 2009. For anyone looking for an alternative to the classic 5-pocket jean, Levi's have produced a stripped back and functional jeans which features concealed stitching and no back patch, buttons or rivets. Styles include loose, straight and slim fits for guys and straight and slim fits for girls.
Levi’s Red are celebrating their 10th anniversary by re-issuing two of their original Engineered Jeans from 1999 - the Giant (left) and Standard (right) cuts. The innovative ‘twisted leg’ concept that the Engineered Jeans were based on have been highly successful for Levi’s, and these recreations feature the same cotton/hemp fabric and cutting of the originals.
The jeans are available in both raw and washed versions and come in a special commemorative packaging. Oki-Ni now have them exclusively for sale, whilst other stockists will be getting their’s at a later date. Levis has come out with its new Engineered Jeans with a bang.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Levi’s RED engineered jeans, Levi’s has developed a celebration package for Spring/Summer 2009. This limited edition collection contains reissues of the first ‘twisted leg’ jeans: the first Standard, the first Giant and the first Loose Culottes for girls. The fabric is a recreation of the first fabric from 1999, an innovative mix of cotton and hemp in an intense green-cast indigo shade. It is woven on a narrow loom with solid green selvage and finished with gold plated buttons cast from the original molds. These re-editions jeans will be presented in a special box and are certain to become collectors’ items.
The first 100 pieces of each style will be available from early December only at oki-ni.com with the collection then being seeded into key accounts across the world from mid February next year.
